Abstract
The case illustrates a more rare, but likely under-recognized cause of bradycardia: sinus node dysfunction due to underlying hereditary hemochromatosis. A significant pause from sinus node dysfunction led to infrequent episodes of syncope. The patient’s past medical and family history allow us to discuss a broad differential diagnosis for syncope, and consider diagnostic testing that may help elucidate the cause.
