Abstract
a family of relatively small ornithischian dinosaurs, named for a very thick skull roof. Bipedal and generally herbivorous, they have a great deal of skull ornamentation. They include the genera Stegoceras, Pachycephalosaurus, Prenocephale, and possibly Dracorex. Asia and North America, Late Cretaceous.
