Abstract
Archaeological and palaeontological findings in the territory of the Los Lagos Region, Chile, such as those emerging from Monte Verde II and Pilauco sites require a science knowledge translation into a simple language. Palaeontological and archaeological scientific tourism, the processes of outreach trips, the exhibition of scientific results and the training of stakeholders or actors with links to the territory, together with the media, are key to scientific dissemination. This chapter deals with planning and recommendations for the successful management of scientific tourism, especially around the destination of Osorno. The initiatives are based on workshops, training courses and seminars carried out at the destination with stakeholders and local actors in the palaeotourism value chain.
