Abstract
Treatment planning plays a major role in preventing implant failure. Specific factors must be reviewed. These include: assessing bone quality, care in surgical techniques so as to minimize future problems, proper implant placement, as well as other factors are reviewed in the chapter. The need to choose adequately engineered implants from established manufacturers is reviewed.
