Abstract
Management of pain in neurosurgical patients can be challenging.
Effective post-operative pain management starts in the preoperative phase including planning, education, pre-emptive analgesia, and multimodal analgesia to optimize pain management. Use of stronger medication and opioids must be monitored, and down-titration was considered at the earliest opportunity.
