Abstract
In part as a consequence of the corporate culture in academia is the fact that whatever a scholar does or produces belongs to the institution. This is another aspect that the non-initiated may find surprising; for example, my ideas that ended up in patent applications were bought by my institution for the sum of… 1 (one) dollar (Cartoon VIII). And if someone does not believe it, here is part of the text of the document where I sold my idea for such an impressive sum of money.
