Abstract

Regular inspecting electrical equipments in substation is an important task, where substation inspection robots are developed and used. After analyzing the application requirement of speech interaction with substation inspection robot, a speech interaction system has been developed based on Microsoft’s speech application programming interface. Then the design ideas of the system and some key steps, including speech recognition, text-to-speech, grammar creation and maintenance, are thoroughly stated. How to further improve the recognition rate is discussed in the end.
