Abstract
This paper bases on the Chinese manufacturing industries, evaluates the impact of commodity manufacturing on the environment from the perspective of commodity production. We mainly use I–O models to measure the energy and raw materials that are directly or indirectly needed by the production sector and the impacts on the environment, these impacts include the discharge of pollutants in the production of goods and the environmental impact of the production of intermediates.
