Abstract
Formally speaking, the highest political EEA decision-making body is the EEA Council which comprises representatives of the Commission, the EU Member States and the EEA/EFTA States. It is the main political forum for the EEA. Meeting at the ministerial level, it has overall political responsibility for the Agreement. Decisions are taken by unanimity. Another forum of political dialogue in the EEA is the Joint Parliamentary Committee.
