Résumé
L’IRM du contenu scrotal n’a que de rares indications comparées à celles de l’écho-Doppler, qui répond dans la grande majorité des cas à la question posée. L’IRM vient toujours en deuxième intention, en général à la demande des radiologues eux-mêmes dans les cas inhabituels ou douteux. L’IRM est particulièrement pertinente pour différentier les processus intratesticulaires des processus extratesticulaires [1], pour analyser de façon globale les processus infiltratifs, pour différencier une zone de fibrose d’une tumeur, pour analyser les pathologies du cordon (en particulier, les lésions à composante graisseuse [2]). Elle fournit une illustration non-opérateur dépendant dans le bilan préchirurgical de lésions non palpables. Dans certaines équipes, l’IRM peut intervenir en troisième intention à la suite d’une échographie de contraste [3].
