Résumé

La bronchite est une affection inflammatoire atteignant surtout les grosses bronches fréquemment associée à une inflammation de la trachée. Cette inflammation de l’arbre bronchique est en général secondaire à une irritation de la muqueuse bronchique: air froid, pollution, etc. Elle peut être secondaire ou compléter une infection des voies respiratoires supérieures. La toux n’est qu’un des symptômes qui s’accompagne, chez l’homme, d’une expectoration. Elles signalent l’hypersécrétion et une obstruction des voies aériennes.
