Résumé
Le cancer est une pathologie rare chez l’adolescent et l’adulte jeune puisque les cancers diagnostiqués entre 15 et 24 ans ne représentent que 0,6 % de l’ensemble des cancers. Il constitue néanmoins la troisième cause de décès dans cette tranche d’âge après les accidents et les suicides. L’attention de la communauté médicale et scientifi que a été attirée depuis plusieurs années sur cette pathologie, en raison d’une part des besoins spécifi ques des patients de cette tranche d’âge en matière de support psycho-social, et d’autre part de la grande diversité de prise en charge de ces patients en fonction de leur lieu de traitement (oncologie adulte et pédiatrique) (1).
