Abstract
In the present chapter, hydraulic actuators are studied. However, some of the results obtained also apply for their pneumatic counterparts. An ideal power supply with no losses will be considered. It implies that the load will not change the supplied pressure. This fact can be assumed with no loss of generality as long as the power of the power supply is much larger than the nominal power consumed by the actuator.
