Abstract

Epidemiology is the discipline concerned with disease frequency and the associations between risk factors and outcome in the population. Assessment of disease in the community is an important measure not only for the purpose of health planning but also for the understanding of associations between diseases and factors in the environment, as well as meeting the demands and investigating factors of importance to prevent disease in the population.1, 2
