Abstract
The UK military trauma system on contemporary operations has evolved substantially in the last decade, drawing on clinical experience from post-conflict peace-enforcing in Kosovo and combat operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. It has matured so that training, equipment, and clinical guidelines are integrated from point of wounding through to field hospital care, and that clinical practice is rigorously governed from pre-hospital care through to rehabilitation.
