Abstract
Interventional neuroradiology procedures have evolved and now have an established role in the treatment and diagnosis of various skull base pathological conditions. In this chapter, the most common aspects of interventional neuroradiologic procedures related to skull base surgery are discussed, namely, embolization of skull base tumors, test and permanent occlusion of the internal carotid artery, and inferior petrosal sinus sampling, with emphasis on indications, techniques, and potential complications of each procedure.
