Abstract

Divestiture activity is increasing as companies evaluate and optimize their product portfolios and service lines. In general, divestitures bring tremendous change and an extended period of uncertainty—beginning with the pre-deal announcement phase, throughout the divestiture planning phase (deal announcement to Day 1), and continuing post-Day 1, when the transformative activities peak.
