Abstract

Born amid the extraordinary circumstances shaping the socio-political landscape in the United States during the last decade of the nineteenth century, Milton Humason grows up in the bustling town of Winona, Minnesota, one of three children born to William and Laura Humason. War, the assassination of President William McKinley and family tragedy help to alter the course of the family’s history by the end of 1901.
