Abstract

The cytologic mimics of endocervical glandular neoplasia include reactive and reparative changes of the endocervical glandular epithelium especially in relation to endocervical polyps, tubal metaplasia, endometriosis, pregnancy-related changes, and cytologic changes induced by the presence of an intrauterine contraceptive device. Awareness of these entities will aid in avoiding over diagnosis of endocervical glandular neoplasia.
