Abstract
Affect Regulation Training (ART) was originally developed as a group intervention to specifically enhance emotion regulation skills. ART can also be utilized in individual therapy. In a group format, ART is applicable for a diverse audience including individuals suffering from mental health problems, individuals at high risk for developing mental health problems, and as training for nonclinical populations who wish to foster their personal growth. There are a variety of scheduling formats that could be used to deliver the training. The unique needs of the intended audience should be taken into account when deciding scheduling formats and class size.
