Abstract
We examined the potential for light- and nutrient-limitation of phytoplankton production in the Delaware Estuary using a hierarchy of experimental approaches including small scale bioassay experiments, ecosystem analysis of nutrient concentration and stoichiometric ratios, light-limitation modeling and determination of planktonic elemental ratios.
