Abstract

SQL is the backbone of SharePoint. And, when SQL is properly configured, SharePoint will perform at its best, assuming the servers are properly sized. We’ll talk about overall sizing recommendations for a farm toward the end of this chapter, taking the SQL server and the SharePoint servers into account.
