Abstract
The species of living organisms are found in a mutual relation one with another, so that in truth it would be impossible to do a well rounded study of any single species without taking into account a considerable number of other species which influence it in one manner or another.
[In complicated questions good sense needs to be guided by the results of computation; the formulas do not create the sensitive mind but facilitate its use.]
