The Relationship between Distributions of Dissolved Cadmium, Iron and Aluminium and Hydrography in the Central Arctic Ocean

  • Chapter
Trace Metals in Sea Water

Part of the book series: NATO Conference Series ((MARS,volume 9))

Abstract

Over many years there has been considerable interest in the role of iron as a micronutrient element1 with attention focussing on its solubility2,3, speciation both inorganic3 and organico, its availability to plankton5,6,7 and modification of its speciation by organisms6,7,8,9, and the possible ecological effects of its concentration and chemical form.
