Abstract
An idealistic conception of siblings is that they are always close, loving, and ready to care for one another. Unfortunately, this is only part of the portrait. Sibling conflict exists, and sometimes continues throughout life. In the absence of better means, aggression, violence, or abuse may be used to deal with it.
