Abstract
The organisers of the Elementary School Action Group identified a broad range of topics considered to be important for elementary school mathematics education. Informal and written surveys helped in identifying the topics of greatest concern to teachers, teacher trainers and researchers, and the results helped in formulating the final list of topics for discussion. A list of seven topics comprised the major part of the group’s program, with a summary presentation for the final session.
