Abstract

In New Zealand the social and political climate has affected the application of scientific and clinical research findings on sexual abuse (SA) for medical practitioners as well as psychologists. Contributions from psychiatrists, paediatricians, and general practitioners have been important in the debate, and impacted on their clinical practice.
