Abstract

The aims of my talk is to stress the analogy of the particles motion in a ring and in a trap at least on the point of view of a pick-up and a kicker, and to use this analogy to deduce the cooling rate in a trap on the basis of the similar calculation of the stochastic cooling in a ring.
