Abstract
The NIM system (Nuclear Instrument Module) is a standardized modular system that has gained acceptance in laboratories throughout the world. The system provides a degree of instrument interchangeability that is unique in the history of instrumentation. The advantages are numerous and so significant that the NIM system has revolutionized nuclear instrumentation.
