Abstract
Evgraf Stepanovich Fedorov will be very long remembered because his unexampled labors had decisive effects on several branches of science. Books dealing with his life and activities give very little information on his researches on crystal genetics, and it may well be that these studies are unknown to most of those working on crystal genesis. A symposium dedicated to Fedorov on crystal growth gives opportunity to deal with this side of his life’s work.
