Abstract
There are only two papers on the kinetics of crystallization of diamond of value in understanding the growth mechanism; one gives the time dependence of the diffusion of carbon to the seed crystal via molten nickel [1], while the other gives the yield and quality of the crystals in relation to synthesis time [2]. Here we consider our relationships derived from chemical kinetics as regards the graphite—diamond transformation.
