Abstract
Metal powders and polymers are of prime importance in the preparation of metal/polymer composites. Techniques for metal powder preparation have increased dramatically in recent years and will be reviewed in this chapter. Particularly noteworthy are materials produced by rapid solidification processes (RSP). There are different techniques used in preparing finely divided polymer particles. Metal powders may be blended with polymer particles in a variety of ways, though thermal blending in extrusion equipment and blending into liquid polymer systems are also practiced. The material blending equipments are also reviewed in this chapter.
