Abstract
Having considered resins, polymers, and elastomers from the standpoint of molecular composition and structure in the previous chapter, we turn now to the differentiation of phases with respect to structure, composition, properties, morphology, condition, and behavior. A phase has been defined in Chapter 1 as an apparently homogeneous, tangibly or intangibly separate portion of matter.
