Abstract

It is my pleasure to be a part of this important conference and to speak at your luncheon meeting. It is an honor for me once again to be in the presence of Russell Peterson, with whom I have shared a variety of adventures, beginning with birdwatching on the Delaware coast many years ago. Our times together since then usually have been a little less relaxing, but pleasant nonetheless.

Lynn A. Greenwalt is Vice President for International Affairs of the National Wildlife Federation. Mr Greenwalt formerly served as Director of the U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service.
