Abstract
On June 9, 1985, a twin-engine airplane crash-landed on a small airport runway 20 miles short of the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. The nine passengers were staff members and wives from the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks in Largo, Florida, and were enroute to a church convention. The pilot, also a member of the same church, was an experienced commercial pilot. Ten minutes before their nonstop flight was scheduled to land, it became apparent to the pilot and passengers that they would run out of fuel.
