Abstract

relative time period: Follows the Southeast China Early Neolithic tradition, precedes the Longshan tradition. The Majiabang culture is the earliest Neolithic culture currently known in the lower reaches of the Yangzi. 5900–5300 b.p. is the Songze period. 5300 b.p. in the Liangzhu period.
