Abstract
Fractals and chaos bring to us new sets of ideas and thus new ways of looking at nature. With this fresh viewpoint come new tools to analyze experimental data and interpret the results.
Clouds are not spheres, mountains are not cones, coastlines are not circles, and bark is not smooth, nor does lightning travel in a straight line.
