Abstract

Computer simulations of physiological models use numerical calculations and solutions of the system equations as well as suitable graphical presentations. The personal computer today has the capability to present high quality graphics and animation in real-time. For simulation of virtual experiments including the shapes of experimental objects we need to be able to represent three-dimensional objects and virtually move them in space. This chapter presents some of the basic mathematical tools for such graphics and animation.
