Abstract
This book aims to give a quick orientation covering the foremost sexual disorders and establish an integral biopsychosocial theory about sexuality as a basis for a holistic therapeutic approach to sexual disturbances and to incorporate this into clinical practice. The dimension of attachment is stressed, making explicit reference to human fundamental needs and the communicative potential of sexuality. It is explained that the concept of syndyastic sexual therapy is quite different from any other treatment method. Reference is made to the respective chapters addressing the mentioned topics in detail.
