Abstract

The kinetic characteristics of objects undergoing translational motion are discussed in Chap. 8. Kinetic analyses utilize Newton’s second law of motion that can be formulated in terms of the equations of motion and work and energy methods. Similar methods can be employed to analyze the kinetic characteristics of objects undergoing rotational motion.
