Abstract

A variety of infections can involve the gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary tract for which minimally invasive sampling via endoscopic and colonoscopic methods can be of considerable use. This chapter focuses on such infections and on their cytomorphology, differential diagnosis, and the ancillary studies used for confirming these infectious diseases.
