Abstract
A power series is a series of the form \(\sum\limits_{i\; = \,0}^\infty {{a_i}{x^i}} ,\) where ai ∈ ℝ for each i. Evidently the convergence of a power series may depend on the value assigned to x. Evidently every such series converges for x = 0.
