Abstract

It is well known that in magnetic materials there exists, besides the normal Hall effect arising from the action of Lorentz forces on the charge carriers moving in crossed electric and magnetic fields, another component called the anomalous Hall effect. For magnetic oxides and ferrites little is known about the nature of this component. In this work, the temperature dependence of the anomalous Hall coefficient Rs, resistivity ρ., and thermoelectric power has been studied in compositions where x = 0.0, 0.5, 0.75 and 1.0 of the Cux Ni1-x Fe2O3 system of ferrites.
