Abstract
The papers in this session are quite varied as to subject matter. The first two apply to techniques by means of which it is possible to learn something about the chemistry of what I like to call the interphase region of an adhering system, and something about failure processes. Another makes use of an interesting effect of viscosity of a medium on the fluorescence of a component of that medium to learn something about the kinetics of cure of an adhesive system.
