Abstract
The wide diversity of countries of which it is comprised makes it difficult for an overall assessment to be made of the status of parasitology within the Commonwealth. This diversity makes generalizations impossible and uniform solutions unlikely. But a concomitant of this diversity is that there is hardly a Commonwealth country or region that does not have something to contribute to knowledge about or to the global fight against disorders as widespread as the parasitic disorders.
