Abstract
Section 2.1 of the textbook describes different types of measurement scales. A distinction is made in this chapter between numerical and categorical data. Numerical data are further classified as discrete or continuous. This chapter demonstrates how to examine different types of data through frequency distributions and other graphical representations.
