Abstract
GI tract hemorrhages are frequent and can be potentially serious: if the bleeding spontaneously stops in about 80 % of the patients, it reoccurs in about one quarter of them, increasing mortality and morbidity, particularly in older patients. The quality of the multidisciplinary care is therefore essential, and the radiologist plays an important role in the diagnosis (the CT being of major importance) and in the treatment.
