Atlas on the Human Testis

Abstract

Testicular lesions secondary to vascular pathology, either arterial or venous, are characterized by their severity, their occurrence in patients of any age, and their frequently dramatic clinical presentation. At diagnosis, patients with testicular torsion usually have very evolved lesions, leading to removal of the testis. Varicocele is considered an important cause of male infertility. Testicular and epididymal vasculitis may simulate a tumoral process requiring orchio-epididectomy. Arteriosclerosis of testicular vessels plays an important role in hormonal dysfunction in older men.
