Abstract
Many of the presentations described in this chapter are not true medical emergencies – some are and these are highlighted. However, any presenting abnormality in a newborn child can create alarm and distress for parents and hence the importance of prompt attention and information is vital. This chapter is based on core information and the cited texts can be used to gain greater depth and information
