Abstract
Darwinian evolution has directed the emergence and growth of species on earth for several billion years, providing a causal explanation of the morphological similarities among living things. While the concept of evolution basically relies on genetic mechanisms for biologists, it can be extended to other areas of human discourse like sociopolitical theory or economics in order to explain dynamic change over time — sometimes with “an implicit gradualness to distinguish it from revolution” (Fabian, 1998).
